The Kopul passive 3.5mm microphone combiner/splitter is designed for DSLR cameras, camcorders, and compatible recording equipment that use a 3.5mm audio input. Its compact design allows two external microphones to be connected to a single camera input without requiring a conventional powered mixer.

Two 3.5mm mono microphone inputs accept separate microphone signals, while the 3.5mm TRS stereo output connects the adapter to a camera, camcorder, or recorder. An onboard mono/stereo selector provides two recording configurations for different production needs.

• Mono Mode: Combines both microphone inputs into one mono mix and sends the combined signal identically to both output channels. This configuration is useful when both microphones should be treated as one combined audio source during editing.
• Stereo Mode: Routes the two microphone inputs to separate channels, allowing each source to be individually adjusted for volume, equalization, compression, panning, and other postproduction processing.

The 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response supports detailed audio transmission for dialogue, interviews, narration, ambient sound, and stereo soundscape recording. Because the adapter operates passively, no batteries, charging, or external power source are required.

The lightweight adapter can attach directly to a camera shoe and also includes a 1/4"-20 threaded mounting socket for use with compatible tripods, brackets, and camera-rig accessories. The main unit measures 2 x 1.2 x 1 inches / 5 x 3 x 2.5 cm and weighs 1.6 oz / 45 g.

The supplied coiled 3.5mm TRS cable extends from 8 to 30 inches / 20.3 to 76.2 cm. It uses 3.5mm TRS male connectors at both ends, gold connector plating, and oxygen-free copper shielding to support reliable signal transmission. The cable weighs 0.4 oz / 11 g and has a black jacket.
